INSPIRING A SUPER HELPFUL WORK FORCE

When Dixons Carphone and Currys merged they also needed to merge their two repair and service businesses: Knowhow and GeekSquad. I helped create a suite of engaging physical, web and video activations to launch the new Team Knowhow behaviours so they could be understood and put into action by colleagues from day one.

THE GAME

The centre piece of the activations was an online game called Super Helpful Stars. It challenged colleagues from across new Team Knowhow to explore the behaviours expected of them by playing 25 mini levels - each worth up to 3 stars. Players who earned the maximum number of stars were inducted into the ‘All Stars’ hall of fame and entered into a prize draw. The game was a huge success, with over 250,000 plays and 832 players becoming ‘All Stars’.

MANAGERS’ MATERIALS

A ‘Toolbox’ was sent to managers across the business, complete with all the tools, materials and advice they would need to launch Team Knowhow and embed the behaviours in their teams. It included a video leaflet to explain how to use the toolbox.
